History and Milestones
Yi-Ting’s manufacturing capabilities were not built in a single step. Each milestone below marks a specific point where the business took on a new type of problem — and developed the process knowledge to solve it consistently.
Established the factory, initially as a predecessor to Yi Ting Enterprise Co., Ltd.
What this means today: Our manufacturing roots go back over 25 years — the process knowledge accumulated during that period is the foundation of everything we make now.
Engineered custom drainage filter bags and fitting room face covers for the Japanese market, securing long-term orders from major retail chains and sustaining a nine-year track record of continuous, stable exports to Japan.
What this means today: The discipline of meeting Japanese quality and delivery standards from our earliest years set the baseline for how we manage consistency and reliability with international buyers.
Developed a microwaveable bento mesh bag and obtained a patent.
What this means today: Early proof that Yi-Ting was developing application-specific nonwoven products, not just supplying standard fabric.
During the H1N1 outbreak, at the direct request of Japanese partners, Yi-Ting launched medical face mask production—adopting and adhering to rigorous Japanese inspection standards from the very beginning.
What this means today: Yi-Ting’s first entry into medical-grade nonwoven manufacturing happened under real market pressure. That experience established our understanding of what verified filtration performance actually requires.
Secured nationwide supply agreements with 7-Eleven and FamilyMart to deliver microwavable meal mesh bags across Taiwan.
What this means today: Established early experience managing multi-channel retail supply with consistent product specifications — relevant for any buyer managing more than one sales channel.
Relocated the factory to Fenliao Road, expanded the production line, and increased capacity for nonwoven fabric-related products.
What this means today: The first major capacity expansion, driven by growing demand across product categories.
Yi-Ting Enterprise Co., Ltd. formally established under its current name, with a dedicated focus on quality improvement and R&D capability.
What this means today: The formal establishment of the company structure that supports our current OEM, material development, and own-brand operations.
Implemented process innovation and market differentiation strategy; strengthened proprietary R&D capabilities.
What this means today: The beginning of Yi-Ting’s deliberate shift from pure contract manufacturing toward application-led product development.
Developed the first nonwoven fabric specifically engineered for food filtration. Achieved ISO 9001 certification in the same year.
What this means today: Yi-Ting entered food-contact nonwoven converting with a purpose-built material — not a repurposed general-use fabric. ISO 9001 formalised the quality management system built over the preceding decade.
Became one of the first batch of mask manufacturers to receive government certification in Taiwan. Due to production quality and response speed, received a commendation from President Tsai Ing-wen, who visited the facility in person.
What this means today: Independent verification that Yi-Ting can manufacture medical-grade nonwoven products at scale, under pressure, with verifiable quality control. This is the only presidential commendation awarded to a nonwoven manufacturer in Taiwan during this period.
Developed new products with 50 patents pending; passed Nelson Laboratory testing meeting ASTM F2100 and EN14683 international standards.
What this means today: Yi-Ting’s mask components meet the same standards required for medical-grade masks in the United States and Europe — validated by an independent accredited laboratory, not self-certified.
Achieved ISO 13485 certification — the medical device quality management standard.
What this means today: ISO 13485 is the benchmark quality standard for medical device manufacturing. Holding this certification means Yi-Ting’s production processes, documentation, and traceability meet the requirements for supplying into regulated medical markets.
Expanded strategic business units; established two proprietary brands — Pure.F and Sofara.
What this means today: Marked Yi-Ting’s move from pure OEM into operating its own consumer-facing brands — the starting point for the brand-side perspective we now bring to every OEM project. That perspective informs every OEM project.
Yi-Ting Medical Masks entered retail distribution through major chain stores including Carrefour, Watsons, COSMED, and others.
What this means today: Proof that Yi-Ting’s medical-grade nonwoven products meet not only manufacturing standards but also the compliance and consistency requirements of major retail chains.
Built a new facility in Guishan with a floor area of approximately 12,000 square feet.
What this means today: Yi-Ting’s current manufacturing base — 25 converting lines across five floors, with dedicated food-contact and medical-grade production areas.
Donated 1.24 million masks to Japan following the pandemic. Taiwan’s representative to Japan personally delivered them to the Governor of Tokyo and distributed them to over 80 underserved communities. The Japanese Ambassador to Taiwan formally expressed gratitude on behalf of the Japanese government.
What this means today: Reflects the depth of Yi-Ting’s relationship with the Japanese market — a connection that dates to our first export orders in 1998.
Passed the latest QMS certification for medical devices.
What this means today: ISO 13485 certification maintained and renewed — confirming that Yi-Ting’s medical-grade quality management system continues to meet current standards, not just those in place at initial certification.
Established the Pure.F brand for nonwoven food packaging materials; developed wave-type coffee filters; secured orders from a major coffee brand.
What this means today: Yi-Ting’s food-contact filtration capability moved from material supply to branded product — validated by a major coffee brand willing to put their name on the result.
Launched “Pure.F,” a dedicated brand for food-contact nonwovens. Developed proprietary wave-shaped filter fabric and secured supply orders from major global coffee brands.
What this means today: Yi-Ting’s coffee filtration products are being evaluated by specialty coffee buyers at the industry’s most demanding trade event — and generating orders. The US office means North American buyers can work with a local point of contact.
Debuted at the Specialty Coffee Expo in Chicago, earning strong acclaim for product performance and quality. Established an active US branch office later that year to drive North American operations.
What this means today: Yi-Ting’s North American presence is now a permanent operation, not a one-time trade show appearance.
